June, 2009 - Tucker has started to be more obedient off leash. At night I take him on walks off leash and he sticks with me pretty good and comes when called. In the morning, there are too many sights to expect him to not bolt for something that moves, a lizard, a bird, a squirel and leaf blowing across the field.

June, 2009 - Tucker had free reign in the back seat of the car on the 11 hour drive. It took us a bit longer, but he traveled so well, interested in all the new stuff around him. At Valley View he enjoyed to large deck and the great views it afforded him as he had close viewing ofl the birds, squirels and chipmunks.

July, 2009 - On short trips like into town or the 1/2 day over at Waynesville, Tucker was crated, but he did very well. For the most part, he got to go on rides around town. When we got back home, the following week I found him sleeping in his opened crate during the day. He must have gotten comfortable with it.

July, 2009 - On day we went to the Smoky Mountain National Park. We took Tucker's crate and had him ride in the back of the Highlander since Barbara and Teresa were with us. That worked out great and we made many stops at the park. Tucker got to see deer 20 feet away. I don't think he ever saw the 2 bears.
