Schedule -
Mar 28 Friday Evening Camp setup
Friday Evening Ride down to Visistor Center and Overlook Tower.
Mar 29 Saturday 9:15 Ride Sign-in. Review riding etiquette and safety issues.  Review the route.
Saturday 9:30 Depart from the campground overflow parking.
Saturday Evening Gather for group campfire.
Mar 30 Sunday morning Campers must be cleared out by 9:20 in order to give themselves time to prepare for the Gainesville-Hawthorne start time.
Sunday 9:45 Ride Sign-in. Review riding etiquette and safety issues.  Review the route.
Sunday 10:00 All Depart from Boulware trail head for trail ride.
Sunday 1:00 20-milers will probably have returned to the trail head.
Sunday 2:30 36-milers will probably have returned to the trail head.

Cycling Rules -  
  Helmet is required.  Headphones prohibited.  Rides start on time.

Accommodations -
     Currently, all Paynes Prairie campsite are sold out.

Alternatives include:
  • The Devil's Den campground and spring about 21 miles away.  See website to make your own judgement, they say they have tent camping available all the time.  Devil's Den camping.
  • Other camping in the Ocala area which is about 25 to 30 miles away.  Perform you own web search. 
  • Other accommodations include motels on the south side of Gainesville.
  • In Micanopy, there is the Herlong Mansion Inn.  Details about this bed and breakfast can be found at Herlong Mansion Inn.
    Campers arriving on Saturday morning need to give themselves plenty of time to check-in at the ranger station.  This process can be time consuming.
